Ironcall API client: request editor with collections panel, environment variables and HTTP response viewer

Why Ironcall

An API client that respects your workflow

Offline by default

No account, no cloud dependency. Collections, environments and history live on your machine, accessible and fast, with or without a connection.

Built on Tauri + Rust

Built for speed: offline-first, native Rust. No Chromium. No Node.js runtime. Fast when you open it, fast when you use it.

Built for teams

Cloud sync via CRDTs ships with the beta. Real-time collaboration follows in V2. The client works without either, and always will.

Performance

How fast is Ironcall?

No Chromium. No Node.js runtime. The OS's native webview and a Rust backend mean a small binary, low idle memory, and a startup time measured in milliseconds, not seconds.

FAQ

Common questions

Is Ironcall a free alternative to Postman and Insomnia?

Yes. Ironcall is a free, offline-first desktop API client and a direct alternative to Postman and Insomnia. The desktop app and CLI are free forever, with no request caps or collection limits, and you can import your existing Postman or Insomnia collections in one click.

Does Ironcall work offline?

Yes. Ironcall is offline by default. Collections, environments and history are stored locally in SQLite, and every request runs from your machine. A connection is only needed if you opt into cloud sync.

Do I need an account to use Ironcall?

No. The desktop app and CLI work with no account and no sign-up. An account is only required if you enable cloud sync, which is free for everyone during the public beta.

Why is Ironcall faster than Electron-based API clients?

Ironcall is built on Tauri and Rust instead of Electron. It uses the operating system's native webview rather than bundling Chromium and a Node.js runtime, so the install stays small, idle memory stays low (~280 MB), and it cold-starts in about 95 ms.

Ready to switch?

No credit card. No account. Just download and start testing.
